Asheville YWCA Black & White Gala
Yesterday was the “Black & White Gala” which raises funds that support the YWCA’s programs dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. Pretty cool, no?
The event was great, restaurants, artists, companies and many more local groups and individuals came together to help the cause and have a good time. There were many interesting items up for auction, lots of great food, music and drinks. Being able to dance, talk, eat, enjoy a drink and shop at the same place was actually pretty fun.I enjoyed helping to decorate the event, from planning to the final result :). The place looked amazing, there were lots of paper lanterns, recycled flowers, lights and glitter everywhere. Incorporating some recycled elements in the design like newspaper and dry branches was one of my favorite things along with the picture frames hanging from the ceiling that looked very original.
Some of my products were part of the auction which made me very very happy, I danced a lot, learned some new moves and met some very nice people. I loved being part of this amazing cause! xoxo Elba
