Some News
I’m finally back after spending a long weekend at the lake with the family, which was great and delicious, I really enjoyed the warm weather, lying in the sun for a while and reading magazines for hours. I promised myself to get some work done there but the internet wasn’t great, which was just perfect because I really loved being away from computers at least just for a few days. We had a great time but I’m so happy to be back at home doing the simple things, watering my plants that I missed so much and sitting on the porch, really, having a mini vacation messes with your whole routine, I don’t know if I feel lazier or more energetic now.
I’m finally back and I have some news that want to share with you. The first thing is that I have a new slogan for my store, live colorful, I liked the idea because I feel that it expresses what I like to do, I love designing with lots of colors and I like sharing interesting uses of color schemes, so it actually defines my style very well. Now you can find the store and the blog on www.livecolorful.com, I’m very excited!
The second thing is that I finally have a tumblr blog! I had an account for about two months but it was empty because I didn’t understand how it worked haha, so the other day I wasn’t that busy and I sat down to experiment a bit until I understood, well, I’m not an expert or anything but at least now I have some pictures out there, you can find me on elbavalverde.tumblr. Im hoping to use this one, which is called live colorful too, to upload images that inspire me and might inspire you to, it will be like a board with ideas, photos and color combinations that I find interesting.
The third and latest new is that I just uploaded new products to the store, these new pieces are inspired by nature, colors and shapes of trees that I love. This necklace is one of my favorite pieces that reminds me of a tree from Tabasco, Mexico, where I lived most of my life before moving to the States last year, I loved to see this tree in the morning while driving to school and I love its yellow flowers, so I used that as inspiration and some characteristics from another of my favorite trees, the weeping willow, I ended up designing a pendant with both trees and a little bit of imagination, it looks almost like the tree from avatar, I love it!
Other than some news I also wanted to share some of the pictures from this weeekend, some awesome things and family time.
