Celebrating the Latino heritage
This weekend we went to celebrate the Latino heritage in a festival downtown Asheville. I love downtown Asheville on weekends, I always find something interesting and new to do or see. I particular loved this festival, it made me feel connected with my culture, just hearing them talking in Spanish was a refreshing experience. There was a moment when I forgot I was in Asheville, too much Spanish haha, after I moved here I haven’t had much connection with the Latin-American community, I enjoyed seeing familiar faces having fun and being together, eating yummy food like papusas and listening some Latino bands and seeing some traditional dances from Mexico. I also saw some balloons escaping the grasp of their young owners and flying away, for some reason I always make a wish when I see one, so I made a lot of wishes this weekend. On sunday we took a walk with Kyra, had some coffee, visited our friends and their lovely baby. Hope your weekend was a lot of fun too. Happy beginning of the week!!
