Stripes and chevrons are great details that can add a lot of texture to a space.
I like how walls look with painted stripes or chevrons, but to be honest, big patterns are not made for everybody. In some way, I feel that adding this extra texture to floors is easier and it looks softer and less drastic.
The chevron pattern looks great on french inspired homes but I love them in modern and urban spaces too, it looks great in rooms with natural tones and is one of my favorite floor designs for commercial spaces.
Would you like to try some of these ideas in your home? Some ways to use chevron textures on your floors could be painting the pattern with a contrasting color, making lines using mosaics or tiles, or playing with natural wood stripes.
