From the Eyes of Instagram
Isn’t it hard to believe we are all looking at the exact same sky?
I was walking in downtown Palo Alto the other day, looking for some local stores to check out and passing. I was waiting for some friends, we were getting together to try a new Thai restaurant for lunch. I am always late but that day I got a parking spot right when I got into downtown, it was my lucky day! I was feeling happy. I went into this little store with fun gadgets, books, knick knacks and a couple delicious handmade soaps. I stopped to flip the pages of this wonderful book with collages of random pictures, it was about the world through the eyes of Instagram. It was really beautiful and kind of scary, the way we are so connected right now, everybody can see what others are seeing and viceversa, we didn’t have that a few years back, not that way. The interesting part was, realizing how different our pictures look, even when we share pictures from the same city or same event.
One of the things I couldn’t stop thinking was about the sky. Yep, that big dome right above our heads that is captured everyday from different perspectives with different eyes and feelings.
I love the different landscapes in these pictures and the fact that no matter where we are, we all agree that the sky is beautiful and it’s the same one everywhere!
