Make a Cute Colorful Frame for your Baby’s Ultrasound

All ideas, pictures and opinions are my own.Make a Cute Colorful Frame for your Baby’s Ultrasound | Live ColorfulI am 18 weeks pregnant now and I can show off some of my unique and exciting moments. One of my favorite was the first time I saw the face of our little baby in an ultrasound. I couldn’t believe how that tiny thing, just 4.5 cm long, could look so much like a big baby, with a face, hands and legs almost fully formed and moving and kicking a lot. It was a bit surreal but emotional and sweet at the same time.

That moment was really special for us, so I wanted to make something unique to remember it and be able to see it every day. What could be better than framing the ultrasound and putting it in the most visible place in the house, the refrigerator!

We still don’t know if it's a girl or boy, so I thought it would  be better to use lots of colors for fun and a neutral effect. If you already know the sex of your baby you can buy pink or blue yarn, or a color to match your kitchen.MATERIALS:

  • Wood frame
  • Yarn
  • Non-toxic acrylic paint
  • Brush
  • Hot glue gun
  • Magnets
  • Picture of your baby's ultrasound

STEPS:

1. Paint the wooden frame using acrylic paint in a similar color to the yarn you are using. Add two coats of paint. Let it dry for an hour.

2. Add a drop of silicone on the back of the frame and glue the yarn so it doesn’t move.

3. Start looping the yarn around the frame, except for the corners.

4. When you finish filling all four sides, cut the yarn and glue it on the back of the frame.

5. Glue the magnets on the back of the frame.

6. Put the photo inside the frame.

Honestly all of this baby stuff has just been crazy, don’t get me wrong, I’m loving it, all these beautiful moments, watching my belly grown, listening to my husband talk to our little baby, he may be a little crazy, but it’s adorable.

But then, after all that fun stuff, there’s all the things we need to buy, all the things we need to change, the doctors, the hospitals, the hormones! Not to mention, DIAPERS! I mean, there’s so many out there to choose from, as we get closer and closer to meeting our little guy or gal, figuring out the best way to keep their little bottom clean and not going crazy in the process is a big deal. So after looking around at our options, the new Huggies® Little Snugglers Diapers are really looking pretty awesome.

Huggies Little SnugglersTheir new GentleAbsorb* liner provides a cushiony layer of protection to help draw mess away from the baby’s delicate newborn skin. They also have one of the things that may save my life as new mom who could definitely use some help, a moisture indicator that will let me know when it’s time for a change.

My friend also recommended Huggies® Natural Care wipes with aloe, vitamin E and a simple formula that is sooo perfect for gentle cleaning.
