Fruity Ice Cubes for Summer

Check out this idea about how to make cute ice cubes full of fruit for your summer celebrations. They are so yummy too!

We have been seeing lots of ice cube recipes around the web, using edible flowers, teas, edible glitter and other delicious things in them. We were inspired by these ideas but decided to make our own version this summer using blackberries and raspberries. They look so fancy, especially if you add them to your sparkling water, plus they are a great healthy and fresh treat to share with friends and family in any summer celebration, especially Fourth of July!

  • Ice cube tray. We found a rectangular one and we love it because it fits even small and skinny bottles or narrow containers. These are similar to the one we got.

  • Raspberries and blackberries

  • Water

How to Make Fruity Ice Cubes for Summer:

Don’t forget to wash and clean your ice cube tray before you start making the fruity ice cubes.

1. Place the fruit in the ice cube tray. You can fill each space in the ice cube tray with one kind of fruit, like a whole space in the ice cube tray with raspberries and another one with blueberries or mix them together one and one. Another great thing is that you can add the fruit that goes with your celebration colors like mango slices, mandarine segments, tiny apple piece, blueberries, etc. Because it was Fourth of July, I decided to go with raspberries and blueberries and it the perfect combination!

2. Add water on top of the fruit. Pour water on top of the ice cubes making sure you don’t over fill each space. This way you can remove the ice cubes easily when they are frozen. They will also look cute and not messy.

3. Put the ice cube tray in the freezer. Wait a couple of hours until your ice cubes are completely frozen. I love how yummy the fruit looks when is frozen!

These adorable fruity ice cubes are an easy way to impress guests on the upcoming summer celebrations, especially the 4th of July holiday. The colors look great and the frozen fruit looks absolutely mouth watering. Enjoy!
