Halloween is getting closer and closer and I wanted to share with you these adorable mini party favor boxes created by Una Fiesta Bonita that you can download, print, assemble and fill with your favorite candy this Halloween. ‘
They are extra special since my son decided that he wanted to dress up like Frankie this year! We were so lucky to find part of the costume, the t-shirt and a Frankenstein head, in a thrift store, and then I sew some pants to complete the costume. Now we are planning on printing two of these cute mini boxes, one for him and one for mommy, to make out Trick-Or-Treating even more fun!
These are perfect to give a party favor or to take with the kids when Trick-Or-Treating this year.
I’m partnering with LIFEWTR to bring you this project and inspire you to create something colorful and fun with your kids.
I really enjoy making time to work on something creative with my son. It’s great because I know that through art and creativity, he will learn tons of new things about colors, shapes, history, nature, science and almost anything he can imagine, and at the same time, I get to spend precious quality time with him which is amazing.
The other day, I went to my local 7Eleven to buy a few bottles of LIFEWTR and went back home. Their amazing labels inspired me to create something fun that afternoon, and Jaxon got excited about the idea when I showed him the LIFEWTR and Scholastic kit that I got the other day. He was asking me to play with the sheets of paper since I got home with the kit, but I wanted to wait until I had an idea of something that we could create together with the material in in the box.
LIFEWTR is doing a fantastic job showcasing emerging artists on their bottles. They believe, just like me, that creativity and inspiration is as essential to life as water.
This kit that LIFEWTR and Scholastic created, includes art lessons and activities that motivate the little ones to explore techniques for illustrating characters, stenciling collages, and creating inked black-and-white designs with color blocking using printed pages with the artwork of three young artists.
Jaxon and I decided to make a collage for his room using the colorful paper sheets. The idea was so simple, but perfect for his age, and the end result was super fun and cheerful!
Printed paper sheets included in the the LIFEWTR and Scholastic kit
Stencils included in the the LIFEWTR and Scholastic kit
1 Thick white paper sheet
Use the stencils to draw shapes on the back of the colorful paper included in the LIFEWTR and Scholastic kit.
Cut the shapes.
Place the shapes on the white paper sheet creating a design you like. Then glue all the pieces down.
We actually designed something really simple, that was appropriate for a preschooler. If your kids are older, let them play with the stencils and use as many shapes as they want. Gluing different shapes together or one on top of other is a great way to make something unique and neat.
Find these amazing LIFEWTR bottles at your local 7Eleven. Every few months you will see a new series of LIFEWTR bottles focusing on a unique aspect of art, and putting the spotlight on three new artists. The next one is the Series 5 ‘Art Beyond Borders’ bottles and I’m sure it’s going to be super colorful. To see bottles and artwork from the past series check out their site here.
Who else is excited about Valentine’s Day? It’s just around the corner, can you believe it? I was just thinking about that the other day while I was taking down the Christmas tree. Sometimes, like that day, I’m amazed about how fast time flies and how much we wait for a holiday we love and then, suddenly, it’s just here!
To make the wait count, why not start crafting something fun related to Valentine’s Day right now, so we get some fun creative time and at the same time we start making cute gifts for family and friends.
Love+Lemon Craft Co sent me their amazing charms sets and the most colorful suede lace that inspired this project. They also offered me with the greatest tools, jump rings, and bracelet bangles! Which is the way to go when making bracelets. They are just so easy to personalize.
Start by making a loop of suede lace and tying a knot at the end of the bracelet bangle. Leave about three inches on each side of the bracelet bangle to be able to make a bow later, it will look super cute when you and your friends wear the bracelets.
