Who else is excited about Valentine’s Day? It’s just around the corner, can you believe it? I was just thinking about that the other day while I was taking down the Christmas tree. Sometimes, like that day, I’m amazed about how fast time flies and how much we wait for a holiday we love and then, suddenly, it’s just here!

To make the wait count, why not start crafting something fun related to Valentine’s Day right now, so we get some fun creative time and at the same time we start making cute gifts for family and friends.

Love+Lemon Craft Co sent me their amazing charms sets and the most colorful suede lace that inspired this project. They also offered me with the greatest tools, jump rings, and bracelet bangles! Which is the way to go when making bracelets. They are just so easy to personalize.

Steps:

  1. Start by making a loop of suede lace and tying a knot at the end of the bracelet bangle. Leave about three inches on each side of the bracelet bangle to be able to make a bow later, it will look super cute when you and your friends wear the bracelets.
  2. Use the jump rings to hang the charms. I got two Love+Lemon Craft Co charm sets, the foodie charm set and goodies charm set, with 12 pieces in total so I used four charms on each bracelet.
  3. Make three of these cute bracelets, keep one and give two away to your friends!

This is the perfect excuse to start making something fun and pretty for Valentine’s day and in a super easy way!

February is already here. How crazy is that? It seems like just a few days ago we were getting excited about Christmas trees and holiday gifts, and now it’s all about hearts and flowers everywhere. I honestly love it, it’s kind of refreshing and a good reminder that spring is getting closer and closer.

I let myself get inspired by the theme of the season when I sat down to draw the other night. I sketched a simple heart and filled it with pink and red flowers. I honestly didn’t have any plans for the illustration, but then I saw it from far away and instantly realized that they would be awesome Valentine’s Day gift tags!

The printable design is extra simple, which I love because you can use them in many different ways. Gift tags was my first idea, but you can also make cupcake toppers, use them in your next scrapbook project, or even glue them in a big paper clip and use them as bookmarks. Can you think of anything else? Please let us know! 😉

How to Make Colored Bath Salts

Learn how to make relaxing bath salts with a simple homemade recipe and personalize them with your favorite color! This is a great gift idea for friends and family on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or as party favors on a special occasion.

Taking a long bath is one of my favorite things in the whole world. It’s the perfect opportunity to listen my favorite podcast episodes and relax.

Since this has become one of my weekend beauty routines, my husband bought me a book with tons of bath salts  and bath bombs recipes. Some of them are really easy, and can be made with ingredients that a lot of us have already on our kitchen pantry.

I’m sharing with you one of my favorite recipes. I added color to the mix as a fun touch.

I shared the video tutorial on Youtube (watch it below). The video is just in Spanish, but it will give you a better idea of all the steps.

This recipe makes 4  8-ounce jars.

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Start mixing all ingredients in a bowl. Pour the epsom salts, iodized sea salts and baking soda first, then add the coconut oil, food coloring and scented oil.
  2. Use a wire whisk to mix all ingredients until you have a uniform mix.
  3. Start filling the mason jars with your amazing bath salts. Keep one and give away the others! That’s why I think these bath salts are a great homemade gift idea for friends and family.

Enjoy!
