DIY: Make a Flower Pot with an Old Tire

Hello! I just happily finished a new project in my garden. My husband and I are a little irresponsable sometimes, we never got rid of some old tires that were in the trunk of the car for almost 2 years, I was getting sick of them but my mom convinced me to use them to make some kind of garden chair, after taking another look at them I realized they were way too small to be benches but they would make some awesome planters. To add a little spice, I bought some gold thumb tacks to decorate them a bit, they turned out great and even had kind of a rock & roll flare, kind of like a studded leather jacket.

Steps1. Put the thumb tacks in the tire in some kind of a design. The best way to do it is to press the tacks just a little with you thumb so they don't move and then nail them the rest of the way with the hammer. You can do it with your finger, but it might start to hurt pretty quickly.2. After you finish with all the tacks place the tire where you want it, when you add the soil and plants it's going to be really difficult to move it.3. Fill the tire with soil and plant your favorite flowers or plants.4. Have some fun along the way, like my friend here that spent all morning talking to me.Tire flower pot image

Tip. Another option is to place potted plants inside the tire so you can move and reorganize them whenever you want.
