We have been house hunting for a few months and it has been stressful but also very exciting, you know, the thrill of finding something new and the stress you feel thinking about what comes next, but despite it all we really are enjoying the process. Yesterday we went to see a house that we liked a lot, although it has some aesthetic issues we would have to fix, structurally it looked great. What really got me excited was that the basement is perfect for a workspace where I can get make as big a mess I want to and play with tools and all that great stuff.
The basement of this house is actually like a second floor, it’s actually reallly nice, but it has a carpet area that looks a bit funky. Although we are not buying this house right now, we are thinking about all the things we would fix and the costs, so we looked under the carpet and the concrete floor looks great. I’ve heard several people tell me that they are not sure about concrete floor, but I really love how it looks, actually I would not mind having it in other areas of the house. It has a modern and urban style that really adds some character to a space.
I found these awesome spaces with concrete floors to share with you guys, I love how they look with white walls, and although you can also paint them I like them natural, whether polished or rustic like this work area.
But certainly my favorite idea is this pattern made with a stencil and some paint that I could do by myself. What do you think, too cold for your space?
