Killer Color Combo: Emerald and Radiant Orchid

Color Combo Emerald Radiant Orchid

For the last couple of weeks we have been having a little bit of rain here in the Bay Area. I’m happy for plants and the firemen who I’m sure, are enjoying a break from wildfires. The other day I was heading home and saw huge green spots in the mountains. I began to imagine the plants and flowers up there having a party and dancing.

Although I do not hate rain, I don’t jump for joy when it’s raining and cold. But I do love going outside just after the sun comes up, the smell of wet dirt is quite unique, it reminds me of my mom, she loves it.

These pictures are from last week, a Saturday morning just after it rained all morning, we stopped in downtown San Jose for a coffee before going to the mall.

Color Combo Emerald Radiant Orchid

I am currently loving this ingenious combination of colors, emerald green and radiant orchid.

I realized that I don’t have a lot of winter clothes with prints and patterns, I feel like I should have more. What I found out is that this winter I played a lot with layers of solid and bright colored items. Some of my favorites color combinations that I wore: turquoise and yellow, purple and emerald, red and navy.

What colors did you wear the most this winter?

Great color combo! I love that post-rain smell too… we certainly get lots of it here in the Pacific NW!

Beautiful color combination!! You know how much I love purple, so I’m definitely going to pair it with emerald now!

You look so beautiful, amiga, as always. I wish I had more patterned clothing because I’m really into that lately. I have worn more pinks than I would have thought because I am not a pink lady. However, I do find in winter I have gravitated towards more muted colors in black and grays. If you want, you can give us your rain. We need it!

    • I thought it was raining in LA too (I saw your cute picture with the umbrella, remember?) Yes, me too. I would love more patterns in my closet, that’s why I’m excited for the floral dresses. I own a lot of pieces in muted colors, I love that they are versatile and timeless.
