Dare to Be Bright and Different!
Yesterday morning I wore one of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe, a lime green blouse with a funny collar that my mom gave me a few years ago. It’s one of those pieces that not all your friends love because it’s too bright and a bit odd, but that you get to love because it makes you feel different and adventurous.
A few years ago I would not have dared to use something like that. The idea of wearing something that would draw so much attention scared me. I used to prefer going with the flow, dress and act like most people, be neutral. I dreaded the criticism that you expose yourself to when you try something different. I've noticed that things have changed. I don't know if I have become more secure or I'm just tired of not doing things out of fear of being judged.
Yesterday I wore that lime green piece with pride and that made me so happy. A bit of self love and empowerment deserve a cute frame.
