Benefits of Neutral Colored Curtains

I've been thinking that I have never shared much about my home on the blog on the last couple years, and now I've started to pack to get ready to move, the house is starting to look empty and sad. So last Sunday I changed some things in the the living room to lift it the mood. I'm determined to enjoy this last month in this department, leaving some of the decorations that I love the most outside so I can enjoy them before we leave and pack them up at the last moment.

I also want to show you my new curtains that I'm enjoying so much, they feel light, the light is amazing and the pattern is a perfect accent for this hot summer that will be full of boxes and the occasional margarita, sii sii!

When you live in a small apartment you appreciate any curtain’s material that allows light to flood into your space, especially semi-transparent fabrics. Natural lighting besides making the home feel light and fresh, reduces costs significantly. You would not believe how my electric bill climbed last winter when I decided to use dark grape curtains.

I have been buying curtains in soft neutral colors for the last few months, after my disappointment with dark curtains, and one of the things I love about them is that they look good with any color in the walls.I love the silver rings, they look pretty even on my white simple curtain poles.

I cannot believe I'm about to move so far away again, but I guess that my experience helps a little with the nerves, first I moved from Mexico to Chile and back again, then from Southern Mexico to North Carolina and now from North Carolina to California. The idea of redecorating our new space sounds so exciting. If you love decorating as much as I do, you will understand my excitement ha ha.
