iFabbo Social Media Conference
How many of you are living the life you dream about? That was one of the questions that Jacqueline From " The Fearless Factor" asked us during the iFabbo Conference last Saturday. The question stayed in my mind, I didn't raise my hand.
Her incredible speech was the last part of this great conference, it was inspirational and energizing. We got some information about PR, social media, legal issues, monetizing and many other topics throughout the day. Her tips about self esteem to close this amazing day was just perfect. After I left the conference I started feeling a sense of power, something like: I can do it and you can do it too!

When I started blogging, I must confess that I never thought about my readers, I don't even remember thinking that I would have any. Imagining somebody reading what I was thinking sounded pretty intimidating, even when I was writing to share, I tried not to think about it, it made me feel vulnerable.
I used to sit down, mostly in morning, in our dark, tiny basement apartment in Asheville, NC. I wrote for months because I enjoyed it, hoping that nobody would judge what I wrote.
Then comments and questions started coming to my email. It felt incredible that somebody in China or Mexico stopped by just to say Hi or to ask you for an opinion. Helping people is one of my biggest passions, I also love inspiring and empowering others, not because I'm perfect, because I'm far from that, but because I am a shy person behind a colorful blog.

I have been dreaming about other blogger's incredible lives, but it's a bit intimidating to dream I could have an incredible life as well, Why? I want to live colorful, but sometimes I still find myself wearing just black. I want to inspire you and I want you to know that I'm being inspired at the same time.
If somebody would have told me a year ago that I would be invited to a bloggers conference in San Francisco I would have said something like, that's just crazy, that would never happen to me, but it did.
Meeting incredible people in this conference was really refreshing. I was sitting there with other creative people that care about the same things and that I care about and have the same fears and similar problems.

I learned many things in my first conference with bloggers, but one of the most important things is that you should surround yourself with positive thoughts and people that support you and that understand you, that's key. Whatever you do, don't forget, be friendly, be honest, be yourself and believe in yourself.

Love the sponsors!)After parking in downtown San Francisco Saturday morning, I started shaking. I can't say if it was the cold weather or a little bit of anxiety being that this was my first conference, what matters is that I did it and it has helped me grow as a person. This morning I have been thinking, really Elba, Why you didn't do something like this earlier? - Xo, Elba
