Visit Live Colorful Workspace
Finally, I did it! I changed the color of my furniture and organized my space, it’s looking great! A few days ago I put on a face mask, a pair of ugly pants and spray painted all the furniture in my little workspace. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long long time, but I didn't know how to do it since we moved to a small apartment with no garden or patio, just a tiny balcony where I couldn’t use spray paint freely.
My first thought was using acrylic paint, I wasn't sure if it was going to work on metal, have you ever tried it? Somebody told me that Martha Stewart home paint could maybe work for this project, so I went to the store and asked about it. They didn’t know for sure and it was too expensive to try it. So I decided to go for the spray paint, it’s cheaper and faster. To not ruin the balcony, I bought a huge plastic protector and covered everything. It worked! I was really careful.
So here is the little place where my ideas come to live. I thought about how to make this space look bigger, and how when the furniture is camouflaged within the environment it makes you feel like you have more space than you actually do. Since I wanted to get rid of that dark furniture, I went for some silver paint that looks great with these light colored walls.
Can you see how the new color actually makes everything look organized and more spacious?
The file boxes are awesome too! I choose white ones so they don't jump out on the walls, I added a little color using prints, books and other knick knacks.
Oh, and that’s my stand up desk. This thing is amazing! I stand up for an hour and burn at least 150 calories. It’s so much healthier and makes me feel dynamic and energetic. I will share more about my stand up desk soon, I promise.
In the mean time, what do you think about my new workspace? Tell me, what is the space like where you work?
