I remember asking myself this the first Christmas I spent with my in-laws in North Carolina.Holiday Traditions, Where is my Piñata? | Live ColorfulThat day I missed a warm ponche mexicano and the delicious tamales my grandmother prepares exclusively for the holidays. I also missed seeing children playing in the yard, collecting firewood for the fireplace and ending the night dancing salsa in the living room until 5am.Yes, latinos have a unique and special way to celebrate Christmas. I thought about it again this morning while I was reading this article from the Huffington post. It made me feel melancholic, and it brought back all those lovely and colorful memories from my childhood. Now that we've moved to California, we have spent Christmas alone for the last couple years, just my husband and me. That has pushed us to start creating our own traditions combining a bit of mine and his to create an interesting mix of food, drinks and music. There is one tradition both of our families do and we love, and it is going shopping and filling the Christmas tree with adorably packaged gifts. I don’t know how we do it, but we separate for a few hours at the mall and come back with a couple of boxes and Christmas bags. The morning of December 25th is really exciting, opening all those gifts while we make hot chocolate and watch one of the Christmas movies that are always on tv. Even my dog Kyra, gets really excited that morning, she gets a special meal, the kind that comes in those fancy cans, biscuits and a few toys.No matter where you are from, and how you celebrate Christmas with your family, Sears has everything you need to pamper your loved ones. I'm telling you this because, well, I know. Sears is one of my family’s favorite store to shop, and since there are a lot of us... we know that we are sure to find something for everyone without a problem.Tell me, how do you celebrate Christmas where you live? What do you get most excited about Christmas day?Holiday Traditions, Where is my Piñata? | Live Colorful
