Our Nursery Tour
Disclosure: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Munchkin® and Latina Bloggers Connect. All ideas, pictures and opinions are my own. I can’t remember how many times I heard that being a mom would not be an easy task. I used to think that it had to be an exaggeration because of course, how hard could it be to find a few minutes in the morning to do my makeup and style my hair?I'm telling you this right now and I’m laughing. It's 3 am, I'm sitting in Jax’s nursery with a messy hair bun, feeding him and thinking how happy I would be to be able to take a long bath one of these days. Yes, even basic cleanliness has become a luxury, not to mention, perfectly styled hair, well, that only happens once a week if I’m lucky.Since Jax was born, we have spent day and night together, there is not much time for me, and not much time to keep the house organized and clean. Jax loves to ask for milk every two or three hours, and between feedings there is the time I spend playing with him, making him go back to sleep, and changing his diapers. If it wasn’t for the Arm & Hammer™ diaper pail by Munchkin® I really don’t know how I would have survived the mess of dirty diapers around the house and of course, the smell, it’s not to bad on mother milk, but it sure adds up. This diaper pail’s system relies on the time-tested power of baking soda to absorb that dirty diaper smell. It also offers a dual defense, each time I insert a diaper, a sprinkle of baking soda is dispensed onto the bag. The self-sealing lid locks the bag and keeps it locked even when I reopen it, preventing that familiar burst of foul air emitted by other pails. The disposable refill bags hold up to 30 diapers and snaps shut for easy tossing out without letting odors escape, while the side door allows for quick and convenient removal (you don’t have to split the pail in half to take out the bag). I'm really happy with this pail not only because it works great, but it also looks cute in the nursery as part of the decoration.Munchkin® is one of my favorite baby companies not only for the colorful, modern and cool designs of its products, but also because their products are innovative and truly functional. I’m in love with their super soft swaddle blankets, their prints are amazing! The baby wipe warmer is definitely Jax’s favorite thing, toys and decorative accessories are beautiful, like this adorable owl nightlight and of course, their famous LATCH bottles, which have been really helpful lately, now that I’ve had to leave the house and leave the baby with my husband for a couple of hours. Other things I really like are their bottle cleaning utensils, perfect for washing bottles, pacifiers and all sorts of breast pump accessories.Besides enjoying several Munchkin® products in Jax's room, I’ve fallen in love with the adorable dots on the wall and the colorful handmade carpet.I have organized all his clothes in the dresser, the first drawer is for all his pajamas and super cute newborn pants and t-shirts. The second one is for the clothes that are still too big for him, and the third one for blankets, towels and bath products. On one side of the dresser is the amazing diaper pail that I mentioned above. This is one of those baby accessories we all need to have! So if you're just starting with your baby registry, don't forget to add one to the list.We put together that piece of furniture that works as a changing table, it’s been awesome, I have all the diapers, wipes and burp clothes at hands reach. There are also some toys and books in the drawers below. We bought the simplest crib we found out there. At first we were not sure which one to choose, we saw several cribs that turn into beds, but in the end we went for the smallest crib that fits into the nursery thinking that it's likely we are going to move into a new place in a near future and by that time we can invest in a new bed if we need to.I feel that over time we’ll make some changes to this room. Perhaps we will need more space for clothes and toys sooner than we think, and if that happens I guess I will need to do another nursery tour for you guys.Meanwhile we are going to continue enjoying this time with our little baby. He changes a lot every day, I swear, and although it’s an incredibly beautiful and exciting sensation, it ‘s a bit sad how quickly he’s changed already. That’s why we don’t want to miss any minute with him. Thanks to the products and companies dedicated to making baby’s and mom’s lives fun and easy, honestly some of these things I don’t think I could have survived the first weeks without and they let me enjoy this adventure much more, instead of worrying about all the little things.Munchkin rids the world of the mundane by developing clever, innovative solutions that make family life safer, easier, and more fun. You can find Munchkin products at Munchkin.com, Target, Babies’R’Us, Walmart, and Amazon. It’s the little things! This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Munchkin.
