Whenever spring begins, I get excited for adding a few plants inside and outside our apartment. But I must confess that I have never paid much attention to our boring front door until this year.Since we live on the third floor, our entrance is in the middle of a long hall. Not pretty or appealing at all. I always thought that it didn’t need any kind of decoration, but I was so wrong. The power of a bit of color is enormous, I was so happy.Choosing the types of plants depending on the conditions of the place where you live is very important. I‘m happy to have chosen some beautiful hostas 'great escape' from the Monrovia brand, shade-tolerant foliage plants that are perfect for my shady entrance. Monrovia has beautiful and really healthy plants. I was lucky to be able to find them at the Lowe's close to home but you can also check out their online store here. Now that my entrance is ready, I can’t help but see how happy it looks. It's amazing how a bit of green gives so much life to my everyday, it just makes me smile. While contemplating my new plants this morning, I got to thinking that everyone should add some color and life to the entry of their homes, the benefits are simply lovely and here are some of the reasons.
Top 3 Reasons Why Plants Are Important for the Entrance to Your Home
- Plants will make you happy! The first reason, and perhaps the most important one, is that plants and flowers just make us happy. Looking at colors and life around us uplift and motivate our senses. Just think about those TV commercials with a girl dancing in a field of flowers. Something like that.
- They can emphasize and enhance the architectural features of your home. The entrance is basically the face of your home and the way we project to others. Plants give that magical feeling to our entrance and make it look special. They also accentuate some characteristics of the facade, and make it look more beautiful, cheerful and transmit tranquility and positive energy.
- Sometimes your entrance needs color and personality. For some of us, painting our exterior is impossible. But adding a few plants in the front is an inexpensive and easy solution. In addition, the type of plants or flowers we choose, will show others the personality and style that characterizes us. Believe me, just a small planter will make that dull and dark entrance, look unique, happy and different.
