They created a new, comprehensive and integrated system that could save up to 60% of time while picking and exploring colors! | LiveColorful.comMany of you already know how much I enjoy adding color to my apartment through creative projects like this one. Thanks to that DIY obsession, I became a frequent customer in my local Sherwin-Williams store. The people in charge of the store know me by name! The newest thing I heard about Sherwin-Williams that I wanted to share with you, in case you are about to look for colors for your new projects is that they have redesigned their ColorSnap® displays. They created a new, comprehensive and integrated system that could save up to 60% of time while picking and exploring colors. The system will be available in all Sherwin-Williams stores in the US and Canada in late January 2016.One of the main improvements of the system is that now it’ll be possible to explore groups of color by family, such as red, yellow or blue, and by saturation level, from bright to neutral with a new exclusive category for whites. Each color family will be placed on one of 24 panels that will rotate. Each panel will have nearly 50 paint chips os an specific color within that color family, this will make the color selection process simple, intuitive and fun.One of the most functional things is that there will be new and bigger color samples, 2 x 3 inches, which will replace the longer strips. So next time you go and search for colors, you could take home those samples and put them on the wall to get a clearer idea of how the color will look in your home.Sherwin-Williams have redesigned their ColorSnap® displays. These tools allow us to scan new color samples with your smartphone and explore virtual spaces to have a clearer idea of how you see the color in a house and what other colors you could use to coordinate the space. ColorSnap Visualizer® also allow us to capture colors of pictures to find a specific color of paint. Just as I did in this project a couple of months ago, when I was inspired by a scarf I bought in Mexico and I used the same colors to paint my bench. As soon as I have the opportunity to take a trip to Sherwin-Williams, I'll let you know how the new system feels and what I like about it. If you get to try it before me, let me know, I would love to hear how do you feel about it, especially about the new chips. Do they work better?
