Live Colorful at #WeAllGrow Summit 2016
We had the fortune to travel to Long Beach, California for #WeAllGrow Summit 2016. It was an amazing experience. We didn't just learn a lot about blogging, social media, community building and more, we also got to meet inspiring latina women from around the world with whom we shared experiences, tips, and created connections of support and empowerment. We came back home full of ideas and plans. It took us a few weeks to get back to our routine but we are finally feeling motivated and ready for some adventures. One of the recent changes we have made on the blog after the conference was to change Live Colorful's profile picture. Now we have one with both of us as Live Colorful content creators. It was something I decided at the conference. I was craving support and someone with whom to share dreams and goals, and I couldn't think of anyone better than my sister. Lali is an amazing fashion designer, an adventurer DIYer, and a really cool illustrator. We want to bring together all the things she knows with the things I know, into a better, more colorful and fun brand. It'll be great, we promise you.Other new is that we want to push ourselves to create better videos on Live Colorful YouTube channel. We want to share DIY projects that are simple, fun, and colorful, and that you can see and understand no matter what language you speak. We honestly wanted to separate the channels and create two, one for English DIYs and one for Spanish DIYs, but we opted for mixing them because we really want to keep things simple and memorable. It made more sense to us to have just one YouTube channel and make fun videos that everyone in the world can enjoy. So back to We All Grow Summit, this is one of the things I love the most about it and I really wanted to share it with you. The HOLA! USA sponsored interactive art installation by Carolina Rubio MacWright, an artist from Bogotá, Colombia, where attendees were prompted to breathe their intentions into origami lanterns that later shone with our hopes and dreams. It was so beautiful. Also, I got to meet some latino artist, designers, and small business owners at the mercadito at the conference. I got so many things from there. Some books from Lil'LIBROS, a handmade bag from Limonada, and some fun t-shirts for my husband and my baby boy from Chaca Chaka. (Check out the video below para chismosear)This shop is so special. The Orphaned Earring, beading hearts back together. One of my fav moments at #WeAllGrow. Getting to know more about these talented hermanitas, Dariela y Dariana de DariDesignStudio.com.Don't miss our video recap to see part of our adventures and the things we saw! We were so lucky to be able to attend. The sponsors were so welcoming and the suites were beautifully crafted, we didn't want to leave. It was a gorgeous conference and we came home feeling so inspired. The most beautiful part about the conference is probably the message behind it, If one grows, we all grow... I really don't need to explain more. and the giant jenga of course! Images credit:
