DIY: Toilet Paper Roll Bowling Game
How to make a kid-friendly bowling game using recycling toilet paper rolls and creativity!
There are so many things you can create with those toilet paper rolls that usually end up in the trash. You could make some puppets, use them to organize your cables, make art, and why not? paint them, decorate them with washi tape and set up your own little kid-friendly bowling alley!
This project is so easy to make that even your kids could help you out. It’s also a great opportunity for them to personalize and add their favorite colors to their own bowling pins and have fun. It’s a great outdoor craft, but also a fantastic indoors activity on those cold winter days when you are desperately looking for ideas to entertain the kids.
MATERIALS:
Recycled toiler paper rolls
Brushes
How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Bowling Game:
Collect toilet paper rolls. Start by collecting all the toilet paper rolls you can for a couple of weeks until you have at least 10 toilet paper rolls.
Paint the toilet paper rolls. Use acrylic paint and a brush and paint the toilet paper rolls until you cover them completely with a solid color. I loved the idea of painting them in different colors, but you can choose your favorite color and paint them all the same!
Decorate your bowling pins. I used washi tape to add something fun around each toilet paper roll because I thought they needed something extra. You can use the same idea and let the kids use their imagination and creativity and personalize each one of them with different designs.
Get a ball and start playing with the kids!
I created this game when my son was a crawling baby and he loved it back them! But recently, I created a new set to play with some of my son’s 8 years old friends in a Halloween party and it was still a hit.
What I love the most about this idea is that is super inexpensive and fun! and a perfect excuse to inspire the kids to be creative and spend some crafty quality time together.
