Craft a Beautiful Pastel Garland with Leaves and Twigs
Paint some dry leaves and twigs to create a gorgeous pastel garland that will add a touch of fall charm to your home.
We’re big fans of using nature as decor. It’s a fantastic way to bring a warm, unique touch to your home with elements you might not usually think of.
We did a similar project last year using dry leaves, and you guys loved it so much that we had to make a new version this year. This time, we went with pastel colors and an ombre effect, and the garland turned out super cute!
This is also a fantastic craft project to enjoy with kids and family, perfect for adding a festive touch to your home during the Thanksgiving season.
MATERIALS:
Dry leaves and twigs
Brushes
Acrylic paint
Twine or thread
How to Make a Garland with Dry Leaves:
1. Gather dry leaves from your neighborhood:
Pick up some leaves and twigs from your home or neighborhood and clean them a little bit removing dust and dirt.
You can use a damp cloth to clean the surface.
2. Paint your Dry Leaves:
Apply one or two coats of acrylic paint to the leaves and twigs.
For added decoration, use a toothpick to create small dots or an ombre effect by blending two colors from dark to light.
Let the painted leaves dry for a few minutes.
3. Hang your Garland.
Thread yarn or string through each leaf stem and twig, tying knots to secure them in place.
Hang your garland on a wall or in a window to enjoy a charming, seasonal touch this fall!
