Color-Code your Snacks
The other day we were pulling out material from the closet to work on another project and we found a circular piece of wood that I bought a few months back for no real reason.
It looked like something that I could use in the kitchen or something. First, we thought it would work as pot holder, then we had the idea that it could be an awesome snack tray, but not before adding some color to make it look more cheerful and fun of course.
It was a 5 minute project and we couldn’t be happier with the result! This colorful tray will be perfect to display and organize snacks, plus it will be a great centerpiece.
- Wooden round plaque or wooden cutting board
- Acrylic paint
Tip: Try not to use colors that look very similar to the natural wood color, so they stand out.
- Clean the piece of wood using a dry cloth and mark where you want each color.
- Start painting the edges color by color carefully. You can add one or two layers of paint.
- Let the paint dry for a couple of minutes.
Use this fun snack tray during those summer parties or just because you want your cheese and cracker to have a happy colorful home.
I personally love organizing everything by color and this project was so easy, it turned out great and will totally be spicing up my appetizers this summer.
