How to Make Heart Shaped Rainbow Pancakes for Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day say “I love you” with heart shaped rainbow pancakes and heart shaped strawberries! Check out the process in this VIDEO.

I wanted to share this simple idea about how to create heart shaped colorful pancakes because they turned out adorable! and they are a great way to celebrate with friends, family and all the special people in your life this Valentine’s day.

I used food coloring to create each color and I mixed it in different bowls, so if you make bigger batches it will so easy to make tons of them in case you are hosting a brunch with friends.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Your fav pancake mix or pancake recipe

  • Food coloring (get as many colors as you want to create)

  • Plastic or glass bowls (You need one for each color)

  • Strawberries

  • Heart shaped cookie cutter

  • Knife

How to Make Heart Shaped Rainbow Pancakes for Valentine's Day:

  1. Start by mixing all the ingredients of your favorite pancake mix or following your favorite pancake recipe.

  2. When the ingredients are ready, pour the pancake mix into different and smaller bowls.

  3. Add one or two drops of food coloring in each bowl until you create the colors you desire. Add more drops if you want the color to be more intense and less drops of food coloring if you want pastel tones.

  4. Mix the food coloring with the pancake mix using a spoon until the color looks uniform.

  5. It’s time to cook the pancakes! Heat the pan in a medium heat, add a drop of butter or your favorite oil and start cooking the pancakes following the recommendations in your favorite recipe.

  6. When the pancakes are ready, use a heart shaped cookie cutter to give them a heart shape.

  7. Cut the strawberries in a heart shape too using a knife. Check out video to see how I did it (The video is in Spanish but it will give you a better idea of the whole process and how they turned out)

  8. Create a tower of colorful pancakes and add whipped cream on the top, then add some heart shaped strawberries around and your favorite syrup.

Happy Valentine’s day!

Aren’t these adorable and delicious? I know you will love the idea.
