Why Selfies with Your Baby are the Best
Disclosure: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with SocialMoms, Walmart & Huggies. All ideas, pictures and opinions are my own.I’m not going to lie. I love selfies. Before I share one, I spend a few minutes taking good pictures and editing them so I feel like I look great. But when I started taking selfies with Jax I discovered that I couldn’t edit those precious moments, I felt like I was going to lose something if I did, so I save them even if I didn’t look my best. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to love to see those pictures in the future and remember how much fun we used to have together.Beside being fun and a great memory, selfies can benefit someone in need. Yes, you read right. Huggies is launching this amazing campaign that consist of sharing an #UltraHug selfie of you & your baby on Instagram or Twitter and nominate a local community project that needs some help. It can be a fundraiser for a specific event or effort, an established community, nonprofit, school, a local park, playground, rec-center, etc. Huggies will spread the love and give $2,000 for the winning cause!!!We are so happy to participate because we love Huggies diapers a lot and we think being able to help others while having fun is great. (We will be sharing our selfies here and here.)I added Huggies diapers on my baby registry and received lots of boxes in our baby shower. I didn’t need to buy them for a few weeks after Jax was born, which was awesome. This week Jax turned 3 months old and he’s upgrading his diaper size to #3, he’s a officially a big boy now. We bought the new Huggies® Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers, that are available exclusively at Walmart, they now offer improved protection at a better value which is amazing. We have tried them and we are really happy with them. This are the only diapers that keep my baby’s skin dry for up to 12 hours and they have those adorable Disney® designs featuring Mickey Mouse. Some of the things they offer is a unique quilted liner that locks away wetness better. We also haven’t had any problems with leaking, even at night, when we usually end up not changing him for a couple hours. We are lucky to have a Walmart nearby the house. That way we can find the best deals on diapers for Jax and not need to drive too far away. Plus Jax really loves going shopping, something about the shelves gets him really excited. If you’ve got a minute, you should totally enter the Instagram contest HERE. Take a selfie with your baby, upload your photo using the hashtag #UltraHug, nominate a community project that needs help, and vote on the contest page for your favorite selfies. The voting period takes place from July 6 – July 31, 2015.I really love the idea of giving Jax an #UltraHug every time I change his diaper with Huggies® Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers! He deserves that hug and many more every day!
