Circus Themed Baby Shower Ideas
Disclosure: This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Huggies® and Latina Bloggers Connect. All ideas, pictures and opinions are my own.Last Sunday we celebrated our Baby Shower here in California. Since I knew I wanted to find a colorful and super fun theme, I decided to look for inspiration and I was hooked with the circus themed baby showers I found on the web.So I decorated mine inspired by the circus, and I have to say, everything looked adorable, full of life and color! If you want to create a circus themed baby shower, here are some tips and ideas:1. Choose at least three base colors for all the decorations, remember that circuses are really cheerful and happy. I chose red, yellow and blue, primary colors, which looked amazing together and also fit great with the theme.2. Use lots and lots of animals, especially elephants, zebras, monkeys, lions and giraffes.3.The kind of food depends on the time of your event. Mine was brunch, so I put out fruit, sandwiches, empanadas, snacks and other sweet treats. Also, think about the cake, buy something related to the theme like a cake in a circus tent shape or something with animals or clowns. I just love how mine turned out!!! My talented friend Janette Corral from Sweet Vanile made our gorgeous cake.Don’t forget the details! Decorate the food and candy table as well. I used a few popcorn containers and some miniature buckets to arrange napkins and utensils, and all these details need to be in red, blue and yellow.4. Buy props for the pictures. My friends had the idea of using funny clown noses for the pictures. You can also create a photo backdrop inspired by the theme, or wear glasses, hats or balloons.5. You need to have a diaper cake! I made mine with the adorable and tiny Huggies® Little Snugglers for newborns. I used ribbons in the colors of the theme and a handmade monkey as topper, I bought it recently in Coyoacan, Mexico, my baby’s first stuffed animal, isn’t it adorable? We really had an amazing time, with great food, games, gifts and special friends! Here with some amazing blogger friends from the area. Lynda Thorn from Mommy Powers, Alicia Gonzalez from 247 Modern Mom and Rosanna Alvarez from Citlali Rose. So happy with Gilda Campos from El Tintero de Mama. I could not miss a photo with Ismerai Dominguez from Love Luxe co.We received lots of lovely gifts, clothes, bath accessories, receiving blankets, colorful books and the most exciting: lots and lots of diapers and wipes!!We really had a great time planning and creating our baby registry. First of all we made a list with all the things we needed. I shared some baby registry essentials not a to long ago, you can check it out here. Then we ran to the store and started scanning all the items on our list. Making a list before going to the store really saved time.We added some extra things on the internet a few days later, you can always create your whole registry online, but it was nice being able to see all the things in the store first. Now we have a giant collection of the amazing Huggies® Little Snugglers that with their new GentleAbsorb* liner provide a cushiony layer of protection that help draw mess away from baby’s delicate newborn skin, and the delicious Huggies® Natural Care wipes with aloe, vitamin E and strong, soft and absorbent layers that are gentle on baby’s skin, yet thick enough to clean the mess. You can never have enough diapers and wipes, right? So we added many of them to our baby registry and it was a total success! Are you expecting a baby or have a newborn at home?
