Make a Cute Holiday Card Using your Baby’s Ultrasound
How to make a festive card with your baby’s ultrasound this holiday season.
If there is something I really enjoyed during my first months of pregnancy, it was being able to see our little one in the ultrasounds the doctor did the first few weeks. Two of those images have a special place on my heart. With the first one, I made something colorful frame with and it’s hanging on our refrigerator. The second ultrasound we got was when we happily found out that we were expecting a boy!
Now that this festive and cheerful time of the year has arrived, I decided to include my baby boy in the celebrations making a Christmas card with the second ultrasound. I was just feeling sad for having it put away in a drawer somewhere and I wanted to make a funny card that was also easy to make.
For this project I created a printable a while ago, but this printable not longer exist in the site after we had some technical problems and we were not able to recover it.
But here is an idea! you can create your own frame and santa hat using cardboard paper instead of the printable. You will also need your baby’s ultrasound or a picture, some scissors and glue. The end result will be similar at the end!
Note: A few moths ago the site crashed and we lost all the PDF printables that we uploaded in the site. You can download the image below and use it for your projects. I’m sorry if it doesn’t have a great printing quality.
How to Make a Festive Card with Your Baby’s Ultrasound this Holiday Season:
1. Create a frame for your ultrasound.
Use cardstock to create a frame for your ultrasound. You can mix two or three different colors, cutting rectangles in different sizes like you see in the image below.
Cut out a rectangle in the middle of your cardstock frame so you can place the ultrasound behind it, or just glue your baby’s ultrasound at the top of the cardboard frame if that is easier for you.
2. Draw a Santa Hat.
You will also need to draw a Santa hat using an app or using regular markers and coloring pencils and some white pom poms for the top of the hat. Measure the size of your baby in the ultrasound to have an idea about how big or small to make this hat.
Glue the cute Santa hat on top of the ultrasound covering just a bit of your little one’s head.
Enjoy this season and hang that beautiful holiday card of your baby on the Christmas tree!
TIP:
You can also put it on your refrigerator or even better, scan the card when it is ready and print it as many times you need to send them as Christmas cards for the whole family!
